She now calls Phelpston, Ontario home and has been actively involved with many musicians in the Midland-Penetanguishene community. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. Emigrating to Canada from the US in 1976, Carl joined rock group, "Crawford" featuring two-time Juno nominee, Terri Crawford and Canadian singer/songwriter, James Leroy. Leaving Crawford in 1978, Carl joined singer/songwriter Eugene Smith, formerly of Jay Smith & the Majestics and the Ronnie Hawkins band, in Eugene Smith & the Warm-Up Band, opening for the likes of The Beach Boys and Peter Tosh. Carl has contributed to a number of recording projects and has shared the stage with many of Canada’s most respected artists including Chuck Jackson (Downchild Blues Band), Wendell Ferguson, Rick Fines , Douglas John Cameron and Phil Naro. Carl gigs regularly on bass with hardworking classic rock quartet, “The Mugs”, Tamica Herod & the Boyz, acclaimed Fleetwood Mac tribute band, “Fleetwood Mac Mania”, Louis Lefaive and unplugged trio, “C, J & N”. He attended and graduated from Penetanguishene Secondary School (1967-1972) and while there he beat the drum for the Jr. Band, Sr. Band, Jazz Band and Rock Band. He continued to play while in College, playing with local bands at weddings and dances every weekend. As a member of La Gang (Band), Greg performed at numerous French Ontario Festivals including Harbourfront (Toronto), the St. Jean Parade (Montreal) and the Festival La Nuit sur L’etang Sudbury. He’s currently living the good life as a retired Air Traffic Controller and … playing drums! Coincidentally, fellow 93rs, Greg Somers and Neil Lefaive attended the same high school which, as it turned out, was a hotbed of musical talent. While he was learning his "A-B-Cs", Roger played in the school's concert band, Dixieland band, and swing band as well as taking on a side gig with local rock band, "Six Pack." All of this earned him enough cred to be able take on the role of bass player with the Barrel Works house band, the "Works", being the hottest night spot in the area during the summer. From there, Roger went on to study music at Humber College because already being one of the most sought-after musicians in the area, simply wasn't enough. That experience led to a stint with a nine-piece jazz-rock ensemble known as "Entrance." That was followed by a run with a popular band composed of all area musicians (remember that hotbed?) "Becker-Mason" who toured all over Northern Ontario and Quebec. But fame, fortune and groupies were simply not what it was all about for Roger so he joined another local band, "Shades of Midnight". Then he finally found his niche with "Doug and the DeSotos"/"The DeSotos" where he held down the bottom end for twenty years. But all good things must come to an end and the DeSotos decided it was time to pack it in after a long and successful existence. As fate would have it however, Dave Atkinson, the original bass guy with "93 North" retired at the same time, so Roger got the call to join yet another local super-group and the transition has been practically seamless, and once again, his musical horizons seem limitless.
